What I Hope My Children To Be

You know, to acquire wealth is not easy. Well, it might be easy for some lucky people who inherited wealth from their parents or grand parents. Except for these people, others have to work hard and smart to acquire wealth. Therefore, I’m taking this opportunity to put up plans for my descendants the way to acquire wealth. Many wealthy people started from very young age to work hard on something to achieve wealth. They were exposed by their parents to a certain path which was planned. For example, Tiger Woods, he started playing golf at the age of 4. Donald Trump was exposed to real estate from the day he was born. Therefore, it is proven that to achieve something extraordinary, we have to start early, very early.
As Asian, we have some physical limitations compared to the Westerners. Even though the physical size of people from Japan, Korea, China and Middle Eastern countries has started to change, South East Asian physical shape hasn’t change much. So, due to that reason I will list down some careers that I’d like my children to pursuit. Obviously, it will not relate to physical size that much. They are all related to knowledge, skill and their brain ability.
They are (not in particular order);

Financial related high skill jobs such as financial analyst
Pianist
Real Estate Investor
Surgeon such as Neurosurgeon or heart surgeon.
Gynecologist
Dentist
Airline Pilot
Geneticist
Golfer
Tennis Player
Chess Player

At this point of time, the above are about it. In the future I might add more options to the above or I might take it off the list.
In case you are wondering, of course all the above only applicable when my child show some interest in them. If not, I’ll not be pushing them to pursuit. But, if they don’t show any interest in any particular field, I’ll educate them to be one of the above.

1st January 2008 - Why I started planning for My Legacy

I chose today's date as a fresh start in planning for my legacy.

My wife and I plan to have as many children as we can, possibly 10, if God permits. Present environment forced me to start thinking and planning for my legacy as 100 years in the future will be much more difficult than today. Therefore, I have to make a grand plan for my decendants. If not, they'll suffer. I think everybody needs somebody to guide them from even in the mother's womb.

I've seen kids raised properly by their parents end up being a good person. In contrast, kids raised in a chaotic environment end up being robber, drug addict, etc. I chose to raise my kids properly and i will force them to raise their kids even better. As a result, i would have a bright, prosper and caring legacy.

If I don't start this grand project, i do not know which generation of my legacy will. Therefore, action has to be taken immediately as i don't have control over them.

I might not be updating the blog as frequent as daily, but i will do it when an idea lighted in my mind.

To my wife, my parents, my relatives, my friends, my children and my next generation, please enjoy the plans and history that i'm going to make.
